Keffeler Competition Cutter

To echo what Joe said, Dan is a large guy, very thick, and very strong even if he doesn't look like a bodybuilder. He has an extensive sports background too. I know he wrestled at a high level for a long time.

And damn Joe, I didn't realize you were over 200! You do look thick though!

I'm getting fat and old :)

Im getting older, but have only gained 15 pounds or so since graduating high school 13 years ago. At this rate i may hit 160 pounds in another decade LOL

Tried out cutting a can.

When I saw that caption about cutting a can, I thought that would be awesome. But then you cut it sideways, not top to bottom. I was very disappointed.:p. :D

LOL, I dont think i remember seeing anyone cut a can vertically yet.... Lots more on top to cut through... You go first, show me the edge afterwards and then ill give it a shot :D

hahaha, nice.
I bet it would be fine going through the can top-to-bottom. Aluminium is soft and thin.

:D thanks Daizee.

Well i figured if anyone is trying it with my knife i guess it should be me Ray :p

I Didnt make it through the bottom of the can but still did OK for a first attempt and the edge looks no different.. Thankfully :D

That was great! It didn't look like you put a lot of force behind that chop though. I bet you were worried about messing up the edge. Don't blame you either. If you are up for it, I can send you a small section of a railroad track to try next.:D

Yea, i was a little worried about messing the edge up so i didnt use much force. Right after the cut i was thinking "Damn i should of went just a little bit harder" LOL

Going to have to pass on the railroad tracks, But feel free to send me some 1" rope!! :D That stuff is expensive HAHA

Hi Worldwood!

Not trying to thread-jack you, but that looks like too much fun, so I couldn't help but make a vertical can cutting video. Looks like you beat me to it!
This sword in this video has a demo grind done by Mr. Keffeler, so it's probably somewhat similar. I didn't have any edge deformation that couldn't be fixed with a 30 second stropping, mostly just a little smeared aluminum on the blade edge.

I can't remember where. But I have seen a yt clip of a bk9 going straight through a can. Pretty clean cut too.

Looks like fun bud!! I have never owned a sword but have been wanting one lately!!

Also what is a demo grind?

Thats sweet man, i havent seen that one. I have used a BK9 quite a bit. They are sweet knives, especially at the price.

Oh it was a grind he did as a demonstration for me. An extremely edifying experience, wherein he replaced my machete-like convex edge with a really nice professional grind right before my very eyes. The blade was drastically improved, in performance and looks.
