Kel-Tec Sub2000

Mine is a 9mm version; I've had it for a few years now. The only issues are understanding its limitations; the trigger kind of sucks and the stock sights aren't that good. I did get a front site-post upgrade (Blue Force Gear) and a couple other minor modifications, but for a 100 yard pistol carbine, it's plenty accurate, reliable and handy.

For me, it's the perfect niche carbine for a very discreet, compact package; same magazines as my CCW (at the time...but my version will work with both Sig and CZ75 9mm mags), and is more than enough for accuracy out to 100-125 yards. It probably won't have enough punch beyond that, but I would be confident enough at the 100 yard range to stop an aggressor or put meat on the table (minute of pie plate = deer). It's not a do-all carbine and pistol rounds are pretty anemic, but if you can accept the limitations and it fits your requirements, it is a very viable carbine.
