Kellam knives heat treat?

I've heard that the rc of the edge is 62rc and the spine is 52rc. Does any one know where the transition starts?

You realize Kellam doesn't make or heat treat knives. I believe they are mostly made by Ahti (Reino Kamppila) in Finland. He does make good knives (have two). I think those contracted by Kellam are just using Lauri Progression Tempered blades. Are fine blades which are available at several suppliers so you can make your own.

But where in the blade does it start to get soft

On the Lauri Progression Tempered blades, the temperline is about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way up the bevel.
