I bought two of the Kellam fixed blade s series knives with rubber handles at the Blade show. One was carbon steel and one was stainless but they are polished so much I can't tell which anymore. I probably should have bought one of the Wolf pack ones as well but I ran out of money.

They look a lot like the Moras but I havn't heard anything about them.
I like the sheath and handle better than the OD Frost I have but I can't remember its model number right now. I wonder how far back the tang goes?

Anyone have any experience with these?

Haven't heard anything about them either, but they look nice. If you're not intent on keeping them shiny, stick 'em both in in glass of vinegar for a half hour or so. . . the one that takes on a patina will be the carbon one.

Bought a couple S4's for my boys to whittle with. They serve their purpose well. Sharpens easily. Handle feels good. Takes a good edge. Worth the money.

The blades (and knives) are made by Lauri in Finland, German steel, very good blades for the money.

Ragnar sells the same knives. A lot of the Kellam Knives on the Kellam site are sold on Ragnar's site and manufactured by Ahti from Finland. Kellam is just an importer it appears, so the knives are made by someone else. I have one of the Kellam S5 knives (actually an Ahti Finman, but the same knife) and I really enjoy it. The sheath is much better than any of the Mora sheaths.

According to the Kellam site, the red and yellow sheathed utility knives have black handles and are carbon steel. The green and blue handled knives are stainless.

I got one of the green for a kitchen utility, basically a paring knife, for which it's unbeatable. I never have to sharpen it and it washes easily. But as Ragnar suggests, the front of the handle may be open to dirt getting in, so it's a good idea to close it up.

Kellam and Ragnar do have overlapping lines under different names, both great to deal with.

I bought a M571 all purpose knife from Kellam at the Tulsa Gun Show right after James Mattis died. I love the knife. It performs very well, but the sheath is an accident looking for a place to happen. Made a wood sheath with 200 MPH tape.

I just ordered one. The Green handled one. To me they are a dead ringer for the Helle Knives. When I get it I will test it out and report back. Can't wait to try it. Its just like Xmas:D:thumbup:

I just ordered a couple of Carbon Mora's and a Kellam Wolf Pack knife. I handled them at Blade and should have gotten one then instead of some of the higher dollar stuff I have already sold.

I have one of the Mora Laminated steel knives and one of their Clippers, Stainless steel. For the money they are a heck of a knife. I field dreed six mule deer with the Laminated steel one with just a couple licks on a steel.

I've got a Kellam Utility knife, carbon steel, and it's great. Kind of like a Mora, great little knife for the money. I blued the blade with cold blue for a bit of extra protection. It's a very useful knife IMHO. -Matt-

Have several of the high carbon knives. LOVE the sheath. Blade is OK, wish it had a little more height. I have had problems with rust where the blade goes into the handle as previously mentioned - design flaw. Overall, definately worth the money, but the Moras just feel better in the hand to me and I get a little better performance from the Moras too.
