I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this knife for bushcraft. The kellam site says the edge is tempered to 62 RHC.I would love a scandi that held an edge longer but am not interested if it is too brittle.
I purchased one of the Wolverine's when Kellam first put them on the market. My example is not brittle and it does hold a real decent edge around both hard and soft woods. Of course, I like to just slightly convex the very edge (a couple of gentle passes over wet/dry 600 mounted on leather and strop) of my Scandi grinds for the most efficiency and edge durability. The Wolverine is a real nice knife and certainly worth the small price. Don't worry about the 62Rc blade for sharpening either. They sharpen up fairly easy.
