On first glance, I was thinking it was a flipper fired assisted.

It's already been stated on other forums that it is not double edged. Also, Mr. Emerson has stated that the clip is wrong in these pics. Kelly McCann only carries tip-down, so that is the way the production models will be. Read up on Kelly McCann's knife techniques to get a better understanding of the design.

I'm guessing the top can be sharpened for a double edged folder. No wave cause if it were pulled using the wave the second edge would cause more damage than good?
That's just a guess, either way it looks great!
 
Oh wow! I'm looking forward to hearing more about the design features. McCann + Emerson = Tactical fineness!
 
ok well i stand very corrected maybe well be graced by the man himself telling us whats so unique about this design, so we can stop guessing.
 
Well, the design is by Kelly McCann, not Emerson....so I doubt Mr. McCann will be posting here. It would be nice though!
