That's what they should have done to this P.O.S. However, if this prosecution goes forward, even valuable targets, instead of being snatched, might just get executed and intelligence lost. It's just a green light to smoke all of them.

I've said it before, but I would have been court-martialed a long time ago in this war.

This guy would have been interrogated in the field and shot.

Saddam would have had a grenade rolled into his hidey-hole.
 
The whole concept that an American Serviceman could even be charged with this, given the fact that Al Queda terrorists are trained to make these complaints and the U.S. Government knows this for a fact as they have those training materials when coupled with the fact that this terrorist was either punched once in the face or once in the stomach...the face was first reported, a "fat lip," etc., is just totally ludicrous.

OK, so you're in whatever Special Operations Unit/Group and the snatched prisoner, now a "detainee," starts giving you some shit AND HE'S NOT LOCKED UP IN A FACILITY YET, THIS IS IN THE FIELD, what do you do? You have to shut him up. I mean, these Generals want to be politicians, they're assholes, to a man. We should have never even heard about this, it should have been flushed down the memory hole instantly with no fanfare whatsoever.

When you look at everything that has changed in the country for the worse, I think it would be almost stupid to expect it not to be reflected in the military as well but I still don't have to like it.
 
And they wonder why enlistments are down.

Guys who are real warriors do not want to serve under such ludicrous conditions.
