FOR SALE: PRICE DROP!!! SOLD
Kelsey Creek Knife Works – KC-5M
I had this camping with me twice. First trip I stuck it in a stump for some pictures and sliced up some wood shavings for a fire. Second trip it got to cut up an onion. Sadly that’s all the action this knife has seen. There is a very slight scratch on the tip, see picture. It’s a very fine knife with a lot of extras but I’ve decided I need something else so up it goes.
David Wesner is the knife maker who made this one from the ground up. David does everything in shop, including heat treat. Below is his write up on the knife.
Steel is Admiral ATS 34, the barstock started out as .250" x 2" . After grinding the profile and bevels I do a normalizing cycle and then surface grind any deformation that occurs. That put the blank at ~ .220”. OAL ended up at 12-1/8". The length of the blade from tip to front edge of the scales is 7-3/16". The length of the cutting edge (from tip to plunge) is 6-1/2". The taper tang goes from the ricasso @ ~ .220 and tapers down to ~ .060. Austenitizing was followed by triple temper, final HRC 59-60 .
Scales are black linen micarta with a blue liner behind them. Scales are held on with Loctite 325 (the best {& most expensive too} there is). Hardware is what is known as "hidden bolt fasteners", those along with the lanyard tube are 303 stainless steel.
PRICE: $365.00 $300.00 $265.00
Knife will be shipped USPS priority mail, insured with delivery confirmation. I’ll accept USPS money order or Paypal . If using Paypal, please include 3.5% to the listed price. No trades at this time. If anyone has any questions about the knife or needs more pictures please feel free to email me.
