I haven't received it yet but its on the way. Sure looks nice! I think Ken hit it spot on for what I wanted. I had asked him about doing me a single blade Shadow Saddlehorn with a half stop, and a long pull, something he had not done before on this model. I picked the acorn shield also which is something I really like and have had him do before for me. At first I don't know that he was interested much in my proposal but he came around and consented to do it after we talked about it a bit through email. I'm sure I'll be very pleased.

Wow! It looks like Ken nailed it there!

What is the length? Are the scales wood or micarta, I can't tell.

Ken called it butterscotch micarta.

I don't know the specs of it. Ken didn't share that with me last night. I assume its close to the same as his other saddlehorn models for length open and closed.
ATS34 blade steel probably at 61-62 Rc
Frame 410 stainless, liners are mill releived.
Closed length approx. 4 1/8", 7 5/8" open.

Thanks. I'm not a huge fan of micarta, but that looks awesome.

The saddlehorn is off my spec for the one with a frame, closed length on this one is 4 1/8". I have 3 types of "butterscotch" micarta from the 70's, one is what we call linen base (very fine layered and woven cloth), then I have another one a bit coarser but not anywhere near how coarse todays canvas micarta is, and last what we call our normal canvas base today- much coarser fabric. This one is the middle grade of what I call the heavier linen. Ken.

Got this one today in the mail and all I can say is that Ken pulled off another flawless folder for me. Wonderful job Ken. This one has a pull and fit that really go well with my hand. I love it!
