Just thought I'd put up a quick pic of a Eureka going out tommorow
morning. Steel is ats 34, the bone is some I jigged sort of a bigger
winterbottom, no half stops, flush open and closed. The pattern came off an old Henry Sears. Thanks for taking a look, comments welcome.
Ken.

Nice one, Ken. It's good to see this pattern getting some attention of late.

Gorgeous knife Ken! I love the bone and the jigging. Heck, I love the whole knife. Everything looks perfect:thumbup:

Looks like a winner to me Ken. I like the way you did the nail nicks. The shield is a nice complement, and the blade combination looks very useful. At 3 & 5/8" it ought to be real easy to carry.

Tell us more about Henry Sears if you are so inclined.

I like the rounded bolsters, the secondary drop point style blade, the "milky way bar" color and jigging and the oval shield. Very nice! Congrats!

Ken,that looks sweet. Nice job,it looks to be a nice size That jigging is really close to that AG Russell bone, gorgeous knife, whoever gets that is gonna be tickled Thanks for showing,
-Vince

Ford, I really don't know anything about Henry Sears. I bought the knife at a local gun show for the gimp shield. Ken Erickson and I went over it and found the tang stamp
but the best we could do on dates was mid 50's to early 60's.

Most of us have seen the great knives Ken has posted in the for sale forum but I suspect there are many that haven't been sold there that forum members have bought direct. Mine is one such, Ken made it to my specs and shipped it to me direct. I thought it would be nice to see all of Ken's beautiful slipjoints all in a single thread.

I'll start with my 4" Barehead Spearpoint.

The color of the bone is a rich rootbeer color...very deep....

The grind, swedge, and long nail nick are perfect...not surprising...

The shield is a perfect fit and ts slightly longer than some which fits the long knife perfectly...

Break out those cameras and show off your works of art from Ken. I know my Pop wants one of his customs...maybe looking at yours will help him decide just what he wants!

I don't have any to add:(, ... Thats a sweet barehead. But then again, I've never seen anything from either of the Kens that wasn't outstanding

I bought two from Ken and have another on order currently that I can't wait to get my hands on.
Not shown here....yet is the Shadow Toothpick I bought in green linen from Ken. I use that one quite often for fruit testing and have cleaned more than a mess of fish with it.
I think Ken makes one superb folder and I really love mine. Shown here is a custom ordered one I got made to my requests and using a shield I mailed Ken that Dirk Potgieter made for me years ago.

Obviously the one on top in this picture is the one from Ken. These are my current two faves in slippies. The green linen easy opener from Ken gets a heck of a lot of pocket time. Its not as clean looking now as it was in this photo but I still love it just the same. I'll probably die with this folder in my pocket because its been on me deep in my left pocket with my modern locking type folder that changes with the wind direction always on my right.

That easy opener is very nice and a style of Ken's I hadn't seen before, very nice pattern indeed.

Ditto on the easy opener. Very cool. I haven't seen too many easy-open customs but its a pattern I really favor since I am a left-hander.

Won this one on this very forum from Ken himself a while back. Correctly guessed what year he sold his first custom. (1977 I believe). One lucky day for me. BTW his pic not mine.

Yikes! That toothpick is amazing (as is your luck in winning it - congrats )

This one's a bit more...utilitarian; one of my all time favorite EDCs.
