Ken Coats Slipjoints

I have some celluloid that is pushing 40 years old and still is bright.

I love the long clip on that shadow pattern of Rick's...very impressive.

Celluloid is holding up very well no cracks no shrinkage whatsoever. My EDC rotation is now down to two knives so it is seeing more use than ever, still shines and looks great.

Actually I was thinking that long clip must have been exactly what Bobby Darin had in mind when he wrote this....

Oh, the shark has pretty teeth dear
And he shows em, pearly white
Just a jack knife has MacHeath dear
And he keeps it way out of sight

A more current shot. Tried to make this look sinister but it looks...well, red.:D

Nice pair of knives, Ken. I especially like the dark bone!

They are all great looking and I really like Absintheur's barehead. Awesome looking knives.

Carried this today. I carry and use it in my shops every time I am in there.

(Don't even think about blaming Ken on that blade. I had to almost beg him to do it ;) ).

It has cut the collars off of three dogs so far. I really like the bone on this knife especially, but it is all well done.

Guys...wow, just wow.
Ken just has the jigging to the finest that an artist such as himself could go. The op's knife is simply a work of art.

Won this one on this very forum from Ken himself a while back. Correctly guessed what year he sold his first custom. (1977 I believe). One lucky day for me. BTW his pic not mine.

You sir, have good taste!
Here is mine :)

Those look great Ken. The green on the EO is pretty cool.

What is the shield on the jack? It just looks like a hole.

Adding one to the pile for posterity:
