Ken Coats "Texas Jack"

I touched up the color that was washed out of the original image and checked/verified with Ken that it now (a bit more accurately) captured the look of the scales. Ken gave the "thumbs up" so it should now look somewhat more representative.

Thanks again, guys. Seems I made a pretty good choice.

Well thought out Elliott. Looks like Ken did a super job. Anxious to hear an in-hand report.

Congrats!

Anxious to give one, Joe. Imagine my surprise when I woke up today and realized that it was Labor Day weekend and not Christmas morning! ;)

A couple, three more days and I should be able to give a firsthand report.

WOW, I cant believe I missed this thread until now...

Congrats to both of you, Elliott and Ken

That looks like it will be one very fine carrying knife. Really nicely designed and built.
Ken - gorgeous work on your part. Very nice.
Vince is right about that shield - it really sets off the knife.

Well, this jack is no longer "incoming", it's arrived!

Ken nailed this knife and I couldn't be happier.

Great bone and jigging along with excellent construction, fit & finish. Spring tension is just right and the edges are nice and thin for efficient cutting and slicing. (Yes, it has a great shield too. ;))

The knife weighs in at 3 3/8 oz and has an excellent feel in the hand.

Ken's work represents terrific value for the money imho and I'm sure that this won't be the last knife of his that will find its way into my pocket.

Lucky man, Elliott! By your blade report, it sounds like a good'un!!
