KEN ERICKSON 3 1/2 shadow

SOLD $475 includes shipping conus and Paypal fees

As some of you that follow my work may know, I enjoy making slipjoints with a decidedly vintage look and feel to them. That being said, I also enjoy making them with a more modern, upscale look.

This is one of My 3 1/2 edc patterns in a shadow with some neat carbon fiber scales. The carbon fiber has a copper wire mesh inlaid. The affect is subtle to mild depending on the lighting conditions. This knife can be plucked, with a 4 1/2 to 5 and very smooth. This knife while extremely durable would make a great companion in a dress situation. Thanks for looking and you can say "I will take it" here, email or pm.

ATS-34 flat ground blade hand finished 1000 grit
Standard crescent nail pull
3 1/2 closed length
Carbon fiber scales
Drawn swedge
410 liners with birds eye reinforcement rivet
Half stop
Fully finished inside
1 3/4 oz.
Shipped , insured in a zippered protective case

Ken, as always it's a treat to see one of your knives. Here i am, first in line but i will pass. I have 4 excellent folders by you. Only fair to let someone else experience the exhilaration of owning and using a Ken Erickson folder.
But i hope i don't kick myself later !

Thank you so much, Ken, I am very happy I managed to snag this one. I have a couple other knives from you, and they are both superb. I probably check this forum fifty times a day hoping to see something from you pop up, so glad all my "effort" has paid off ...

Best regards, Garrett

Email on the way ...

Thanks,
Garrett

Great catch there! You just can't beat Ken's edc shadows (or for that matter, any other pattern he does) :). I've got a couple of them, and really enjoy them.

Beautiful work Ken.

Very nice! I've just spent a little time with the search function and looked at your previous work. I'll definitely be on alert for future offerings:)

Ken,

I sure don't know whats wrong with this forum:confused: ...I think that it took all of TWO minutes for your knife to sell! :p What a great knife for an EDC, and I bet that Garrett will really enjoy it! I won't even ask "If it is sharp", because I know that it will cut like heck! ;) :p

Beautiful work, Ken. I love that metal-inlaid carbon fiber.

lightning strike CF

When I posted the for sale thread I did not know the name of this carbon fiber. Thanks! It is my understanding that the wire is phosphor bronze not copper as I had surmised. The reason for the name lighting strike from what I have been able to tell is that this carbon fiber was developed and is used on commercial airliners to diffuse lighting strikes.

Thanks again for the comments on this knife, they are appreciated.

Ken
