KEN ERICKSON 3 3/4 lockback jack

SOLD $675 shipped conus, Paypal fees included

This is a 3 3/4 (just a tad shorter) lockback Jack based on my scaled down JMP. This "pup" features an extended locking tab, yellow linen Micarta and CPM154cm blade and spring. While being a shadow this knife still has a very robust feel to it. Locks up rock solid with no side to side play in the open position.
Being a lockback this knife can be opened by pinching or the long pull. Very nice firm "walk" to closed. This knife is .430 thick and comes in at 2oz. Sorry, this knife ships out without a zippered case(temporarily out of stock). Thanks for looking and you can say "I will take it" here, PM or email.

3 3/4 closed
CPM154cm flat ground blade and spring
800 hand finished blade, inside finished bright.
Long pull
Cut swedges
Yellow linen Micarta scales
SS reinforced "birds eye".
Extended locktab.
Full 410ss relieved liners, including locktab reliefs, to prevent tang and locktab scratches.

Very nice, Ken. (Whoever came up with the idea for this model is a genius...:p)

Thanks Elliott, and I agree!

On this one I went with a full extended locking tab, much like many vintage lockbacks. By going this route I am able to keep a fuller blade more in line with my JMP's and increase the spring tension.

Yup, I see that, and as we had discussed some time ago, I think it looks just fine...maintains the "vintage" looks and feel while allowing you to include all the essential ingredients which make this an exceptional lockback.

I'm sure that the lucky new owner will be as thrilled as I have been with my own (similar) version of this model. Well done, Ken.

Thanks for the comments guys on this one!

Joe,

This old yellow linen Micarta really is something special. Much nicer in hand I think.

This one is sold.

I had typed out 'Ill take it twice, and backed away. I'm happy to see that this one is SOLD.

Yeah, it was pulling me in like a black hole also. I'm relieved I didn't have to explain that expenditure to my wife. :D

 Somebody snagged an excellent knife. That micarta is pretty special and Ken has a great "touch" on that style of lockback.
