Ken Erickson Article by Mike Robuck in Knife World Mag.

Having handled a few talented machinist's knives , its not just about tight tolerances when it comes to knives.

The maker either gets it or they don't , Ken certainly not only understands the traditionals but also has a great feel to give it an Erickson personalization , while still staying true to the designs.

Congrats Ken , it is way past time for the rest of the world to know what a talented maker you are , besides being a down to earth , easy to talk to person.

Thanks again everyone. It was a lot of fun to talk to Ken, Elliott and Charlie for this story. I certainly learned a lot in the process.

I don't know if I will ever have the opportunity to order a knife from Ken, but his cattle knife is my computer wallpaper.

I was wondering if anyone could email me this article?
I have no way to get a knife world mag around here.

I think KW still has a free three-month trial. You could call and ask if you can start the trial with the current issue.

The focus on traditional knives (custom, factory, fixed, folding, military, history) makes it a good fit for my tastes.

Great article!!
I didn't know about Ken and his accident :(
I really like the pic of the fixed blade
I didn't know he used to make fixed blades

BF got a lot of love in the article too:D:thumbup:

Ken I'm a little late getting to this but I wanted to say congrats also. Its a wonderful article and it reminded me in a big way that I need to snag one of your knives. I have admired your work for a good while. Just have never jumped in quite yet to buy one. I plan to fix that though here in 2010 and will be keeping a close eye on what you post.

Keep up the great work.

I asked them to send the current issue to start the trail and they said no:grumpy:

Well, I finally got to read the article (slight glitch in my subscription - my fault:o), and I gotta tell ya Mike, you told it like it is!!!
