Seahorse Whittler?
Is that how you start it out? I would love to see the project in stages.
Bill

WOW, That did not take long! 3 and 5/16 closed length, warn, coping and pen blade , d2 on the blades and 410 milled frame.

Yes, what you see as far as the frame shape is a hardened A2 jig that I make up first. I then "build" the knife over this. If you guys want I will post pictures as I go, I happen to be getting a new Pentax 110d digital slr tomorrow and would be happy to post pictures as I go. A small whittler has always been something I wanted to make.

You're killing me, Ken... now i'm going to have to get back in line for a whittler. Aw, Shucks! ;)

Looking forward to the finished product.

Pictures would be great as well.

Hey that would be cool. Please show the pictures as the project develops. I would love to see that.

In progress photos would be greatly appreciated. It is starting out a winner in shape and size, just right for my collection.:D

Ken when you get finished with it just send it down here I will test it for you :D
And don't forget to put your old school dyed bone on it :)

Here are a few pictures a bit further along. I have the blade heat treated, and the grinding has started, the two 410 frames/bolsters. The center tapered spacer if ground. I have the two back springs ready for heat treating and fitting.

Real interesting Ken! Keep 'em coming.
It is great to see your knife evolve in small increments!

coming along. The blades have been 90% ground. The blades and springs fit. The next step will be to mill the frames creating the bolsters.

Amazing pictures.

If you could write out a list of the steps you do to make a knife like this.
We all would learn a vast amount about the knives we carry daily.

Thanks
