This knife is one of my JMP's hafted in stag. These knives are 4 1/8 closed and make a really nice working knife that is still pocket-able. This knife has a bronze pivot bushing installed, hence the "dot" after the blade steel number. Very smooth, flush in open, half-stop and closed. About a medium/heavy pull, appropriate for the knife, but not a thumbnail breaker by any means. While the stag is very well matched from a bark and fitting standpoint, the pile side is slightly different in color. You can say "I will take it" here, pm or email. This knife is all the 'pocket knife' a person could need for the rest of their life. Big enough and strong enough to do anything that could be expected of any folder, yet still of a comfortable pocket carry size.
Having just won "Best Folder" at the most prestigious knife show in North America, Ken is now getting the recognition he deserves as one of the very top makers of Traditional style folders in the world.
At $795 it's a deal for the buyer. The very few other Traditional style knifemakers with work comparable to Ken's, receive about 2-3 times this amount for a Stag single blade folder.
The opportunity to buy an Erickson folder does not come by very often. I have 2 (!) Erickson folders inbound so this Michigan Pen will be going to some other fortunate individual.
