Ken Erickson serpentine pen
3 3/8 serpentine pen
SOLD $595 shipped, paypal fees included

Hi, normally I try and let my work do the talking here in the sale forum but I thought this one should have a few comments. Some may call this pattern a half-whittler also. I enjoy building older patterns at times and have always like the curves of this pattern with a Wharncliffe blade. This knife is built using a single back spring yielding a slim multi-blade slipjoint. The blades are ground allowing them to nest together when closed. One of the more difficult patterns that I have made. This knife also does not have half-stops as I think its more inline with the way these patterns were made in the hay-day of slipjoint production. The blades do not touch when closed, about medium on the pull. Thanks for looking and any comments more than welcome.

WOW Ken, what a fine knife ! definitely the work of a master.
it's a most graceful pattern and i would love to make it mine, but am unable to right now, and besides, i have the large Jack you recently made for me, so i already am one of the lucky.
i like the integral bolsters as well and think it might be a "step-up" on the "usual" Wharncliffe Pen pattern.
congratulations on this superb knife.

Kicking myself for missing this one. ;).

Congrats to the new owner. Beautiful knife Ken.

Ken,
Wasn't it you who said you'd love to pick the brains of the old cuttlers to learn their craft? After seeing this knife I doubt that would be necessary, in fact I think you could have taught them a thing or two with this one! Fantastic!! I'd have taken out a second mortgage just to nab this one, I get choked up just looking at it:thumbup::thumbup:
