Ken Erickson 2 7/8 jack

SOLD $395 shipped conus, Paypal fees included

I thought I would add a few comments on this knife before listing the specs. I wanted to make a peanut size single blade jack with features of a much larger knife. This knife is suitable for the office/church and much more! This knife is small but has a fairly stout blade for a knife this size. I wanted this one to be used! I have been using pre-ban ivory for a while and think I am getting the hang of working it, (thanks Tony B.!) Thanks for looking and you can say "I will take it" here, pm or email me. All my knives are sole-authorship including heat treat.

2 7/8 inch closed
ATS-34 blade and spring, 3/32 stock
Long pull
Cut swedges
Flat ground blade-hand finished to 600 grit finish
410 one piece integral bolsters/frame
Inside frame relieved
Inside frame finished
Nicely rounded bolsters and scales
Pre-ban Ivory
Pinned 416 oval shield
Half stop
Very smooth medium pull with good walk and talk.

Whoa mama...what a catch! Congratulations mikeymoto, you scored big time. What a beautiful knife; and I must admit that I'd have jumped all over that one myself. :)

Vince buddy, you showed more restraint than I could have on this one. :D

PS My Erickson jack is my small knife & I'll say it again, his work is way over the top outstanding.I know, for a fact,we are priveledged here on BF's ,that Ken offers these every now & then ,Thanks Ken !

I sure am excited about this one; I keep coming back in to check on it and look at the details.

It'll be my first with ivory handles.

I like how the blade has a long flat portion of the edge. I really like integral bolsters, too.

Just a fine looking jack.

Ken, absolutely beautiful ! i would have snapped that up right away. PLEASE make more knives and post them here (but call me first;)

There's no doubt that if you would not have snapped it up, it would have gone Pronto!:D

Not sure I've seen a nicer looking Traditional for a long time.

Very good that a smaller pattern gets attention.

Now for a Barehead Teardrop Jack.......

I truly appreciate the looks and kind comments on this knife! It means a lot to me when I make a slip a bit out side of what is normally offered for sale here and enjoyed. I really enjoyed making this one!

Mike,

Congratulations.

Ken's knives are certainly a prize and you are going to be thrilled.

I got it today and it's a beauty. The thick blade stock for the size is really cool. The blade is to me like a cross between a spear and a spey. The ivory is beautiful and has more depth than the photos above really convey. As I mentioned I'm a sucker for integral bolsters and the F&F on these is top notch.

Thanks Ken!
