KEN ERICKSON 3 1/8 swell center jack

SOLD $575 shipped conus Paypal fees included

This is a small (3 1/8 ) closed swell center jack scaled in Ebony. This is similar to a Case 25 pattern with a few differences. 1/8 longer and I prefer to put the secondary pen blade on the mark side versus the pile side like the Case. This one has a medium to medium light pull , nice and smooth , however its not "pinch-able" due to the blades sitting low in the frame. Thanks for looking and you can say "I will take it" here, pm or email. Shipped in a zippered protective case

3 1/8 closed
ATS-34 flat ground blades, hand finished 600 grit
Clip blade master, standard pull.
Pen blade secondary, standard pull.
410 INTEGRAL liners and bolsters, relieved.
Ebony scales
Oval shield , pinned
Bright finish bolsters
Fully finished insides
1 7/8 oz.

Ken, what a beauty, AND, i'm here First !!
with much effort i will NOT speak for this one. i am on your list and i believe my higher calling is to allow a lucky someone how does not yet have one of your exquisite knives, the chance of ownership.
regretfully, roland

Ken - that's another beauty!
Someone is going to be very happy!
It would be me if I didn't have a similar one already. And if I weren't so paranoid about wood in the desert!

What length blades? Thanks

The master blade from the end of the bolster to the tip is 2 5/8

The pen blade from the end of the bolster to the tip is a tad under 1 7/8

The cutting length of the master blade is 2 1/4

The cutting length of the pen blade is 1 5/8

Thanks for the looks and comments!

Ken

Very, very nice!
Your second coke bottle/swell center offering lately, only smaller. Nice to see you reviving this most interesting pattern. And in ebony!

Thanks for the comments on this one, this one is SOLD

Instant classic with those ebony scales and it's just gonna get better looking as it ages, nice!

Another beauty Ken! Sure do love the ebony. Someone got very lucky here today. Congrats to the new owner.

I love the pattern, but I envision it and it's larger single blade brother with gorgeous jigged bone:o

Yes, it's much better having the nail nicks on the same side in my view both in terms of aesthetics and ergonomics:thumbup:

Precision with immense character and charm.

Ken, if the SPF does not complete, i will re-consider my passing up this one.
but actually hope it does work out, especially if this is going to be the buyer's 1st Erickson.
best always to share the Joy.
my thoughts on handle material: Ebony is a beautiful, durable material and 100% suits this knife. better than any other. but it might also be spectacular with Presentation grade Pearl. the pattern is of a "working knife"; Pearl is usually associated with light use Dress knives. the mating of the 2 might make for a very special knife.
what is your honest opinion on this Ken ?
