A fine pair of large Bowie knives, first up is what I call the "Motherlode Bowie" by Jerry Kennedy, because to me it is the Mother of All Bowie Knives. The blade is just over 12", OAL is 17." The damascus blade is like a ladder pattern which criss-crosses both vertically and horizontally, so that when you tip it in the light there is always a different chatoyance which appears in the steel. Just fantastic to look at, the blade literally sparkles in the sunlight. The guard is a massive piece of tightly twisted damascus, the handle is a huge chunk of cracked-ice walrus ivory, the biggest I've ever seen. $1200 $1000 $850
(I apologize for the yellowish tint on the blade in some pics, there was oil on the blade that I couldn't see when I was taking the photos.)
Next up is a 9" blade Bowie by Craig Steketee, the blade is a 4-bar composite, 4 billets of twist forge welded together. It is razor sharp, fileworked damascus bolsters, beautiful Oosic (walrus penis bone) scales. $750 $695 $650
Both knives include custom leather sheaths. Please send PM if interested, thanks!
