I'm thinking of buying either a kenpo 1 or a kenpo 11 and would like to ask all you fine folks your thoughs on these two knifes. i know there are many better quality knifes around but they also carry pretty heavy prices. any experience, feedback or whatever is what i am looking for. help me out here folks.
thanks to one and all in advance

Guess if the knife is not the equivalent of a rolls Royce or at least Cadillac, most folks don’t care. Don’t mean to sound sarcastic but every time I have asked for input, I have either been ignored, insulted or treated like an idiot. Guess it’s my own fault for posting. So much for the brotherhood of knife collectors. I shall seek counsel elsewhere and await the barrage of hate mail this note will surely generate.

First of all, maybe nobody here has any experience with those knives. Neither do I. Most people here don't post if they have nothing substantial to contribute. Do you want to hold that against them?
I'm sorry that I can't answer your question, I would if I could. But why should I add my 2 cents to a thread if I have nothing interesting to post?

Secondly, wait a few days. Maybe someone who can answer your question will post then. This is not a live chat, right?

Not meant to offend you, just wanted to explain what I think about it.

You are right "Druid". This forum is a little elitest. However, in this case I don't think anybody really has an answer for you. I am familiar with the Kempo 1 but have no knowledge of the Kempo 2. I believe these knives represent a reasonable value. Get which ever one you like better since they are likely similar in quality, materials and construction. Keep in mind however that for this money you could purchase a BK7 or Bush Ranger. Not the style of the Kempo but better steel and nicely flat ground - better tools.;)

I am not familiar with either knife you mentioned; however since your having a hard time getting an answer, I decided to check them out online. It's an interesting design, but I stay away from Gil Hibben's stuff as a general rule. That’s just me; some folks seek out and collect everything he comes out with. What are you looking to do with the knife?? I know you mentioned price is a big factor; however there are several REALLY GOOD fixed blades in that price range you could also look at. Then again, if you like that knife allot, buy it and give us a little review, then if someone else asks about it down the road, we can direct him to your first hand info:)
