There are quite a few makers in the KY, TN, IN, OH area. I was wondering what the level of interest might be to have a hammer-in that is located central to all 4 of these states to allow a 3 to 4 hour max drive time.

We can decide on the exact location later, I am just trying to see if there would be enough interest to have a hammer-in in this area. I was thinking late September or October. Please sound off if you are interested.

Oh, if you are outside of these states and are interested, please sound off. Don't want to exclude anyone from any of the other fine states or countries in our wonderful world:D.

I've never been to a hammer-in, but would like to check one out. I would been interested if it fell on my weekend off.

Yeah I am going to get over there to the ABS show for at least one day. I just got a call from Larry Bailey, who does the Ohio Knife Show, wondering if I was going to make it over.

The Troy hammer-in is a bit far for folks in many parts of Tenn, but very convenient to the other states. It is less than 90 minutes drive from the Ohio River up 75 AND you get to see the giant Quicksand Jesus statue on the way up from Cincy.:D

Hey Smitty Im up for that if I can get off work. Around here we call the giant statue Touchdown Jesus:D

:) Smitty, I live in the Northeastern area of KY and would be interested in attending if scheduling worked out for me.

I wish I could go the the ABS deal in Troy. We will see if we generate enough interest for something a little more south. If not maybe a few of us can just get together. In this part of the world the name of the Jesus statue is "Butter Jesus".

I live in Englewood, which is right outside of Dayton. We've always called it the Touchdown Jesus. BTW, there's a cell tower on the Jesus.

Nah........Touchdown Jesus is the one at Notre Dame. I call this one Quicksand jesus because he is buried up to his waist:D I guess they got halfway through the project and discovered that they couldn't afford legs. lol. There are pictures on the wb, but they don't do it justice. I had to pull over on the side of the road not only to get a better look, but also so I wouldn't run into a bridge abuttment from laughing so hard.

Oh theres no way lawrence bishop ran out of money building the statue, just down I-75 from the church and statue youll see his horse and alpaca ranch with the big LB on the roof. I went to school with his daughter, and if you look very very deep you can find out how he made his fortune, so maybe it should actually be called the snow white Jesus;)
