I have this Kephart style blade up for sale today. I tweaked the original design a little to fit my tastes. Among a few of the changes I made are as follows. 1- Shortened the blade some and gave it a full flat grind. 2- Gave a smoother entry into the choil area. 3- The handle has an oval cross section starting at the front and transitions into almost round at the rear, with overall thickness a bit more than original.
The blade is 3/32" thick with a full flat grind and is .007" thick behind the edge (this one is not meant for batoning). The blade has a 1500grit finish (in one of the photos you can see the reflection of a snow covered Ponderosa pine in the blade. Due to the snow on the ground I could not get any good photos that do it justice. It does not come with a sheath, but I will list a few examples in the second thread that are available if needed. Thank you for looking. Jeff

3 7/8" 1095 blade, clay hardened w/ exposed hamon, 3/32" thick and triple tempered to 60RC
1500 grit hand rubbed finish
Full flat grind and .007" thick behind sharpened edge
8 3/4" overall length
Stabilized figured walnut scales
Brown Micarta spacers with brass pins/tube

Price: 200.00 shipped

If a sheath is wanted, I can make one as desired. I will post a few examples on the second post with prices.

Very nice, I Like some of the modifications you made, I think Kephart would have liked to use this one too.

Excellent, excellent, excellent!!! Now THAT is a knife, fellas. Absolutely the cleanest, coolest Kephart I've seen to date. And I've made a few myself....but can't say they were THIS good!!! I think you nailed it down with that one, bud!

Make more of those!

Nice looking Kephart pattern. I like the hamon. Sheaths look good and functional as well.
