Kershaw 1540

I have a Kershaw 1540 green handle, I never hear of this model on the site. I'm assuming it's not very popular.
Can anyone give more info,why was it discontinued?

It looks like a Whirlwind with a manual blade (according to the website I found still selling them) and a almost John Deere Green handle.





And I've never heard of it either.
