I just picked one up from the local walmart and i gotta say, wow! Symmetrical grinds, wonderful fot and finish, and sharper than the tongue of your mother-in-law. Ive shave tested and paper tested this thing (all i could do in my car) and boy does it slice. For a sabre grind ( if this is incorrect, please feel free to correct me) it just glided through receipts and a mcdonalds bag. Its a large blade in what i consider a full size folder. Good job on the stonewash as well. Solid lockup and no blade movement. Good detent, its like a bank vault. All in all, for $33 and change, a wonderful budget purchase!

Happy new knife day! Yes, it's a beaut. Check out the 6K (have one on me ATM, more pocketable) and 7K as well, if you liked that.

Thanks for this little review! For only $33 and change, this one is mighty hard to resist.

It seems to me that with every new release, Emerson design combined with KAI's manufacturing capabilities is a winning recipe 👍👍

Enjoy your new knife!

Thats my thought. A large heavy duty folder from a respectable brand for a respectable price. Cant wait to put it through some paces!

Some of these mid-range Kershaws are nice. Got my brother a Link for his birthday. He loves it.

These Kershaw Emerson framelocks are some of the best value knives I have encountered. At that price everyone should have one. If someone was like "I have $40 what knife should I get?" One of these Kershaw Emersons would be my answer hands down. My CQC7k is one of my sharpest knives. For some reason the angle was ground quite low on this one so it feels like the edge angle is less than 30deg inclusive. I don't think this was intentional on Kershaw's part. What I mean is I don't think they ground it that thin on purpose...but I'm glad they did. Also I actually rather like 8cr14mov. I find it gets really sharp and even though it doesn't stay that way for long it is super easy to bring it back.

These are great knives, period.

That is a great knife, and a nice price. Thank you for sharing it with us. :)

Slow down, dude!

I think kemerson also make a trainer. Had half a mind of picking it up as I don't have a training knife this small, but it's not that hard to improvise, a 🍌 comes to mind, hahaha.

Now you can't sell her, either.
You blood it, you own it. Forever.

(although spykez meta-humor wins the thread, IMO)

I was stropping on cardboard when it slipped of and nicked my finger... even i was surprised lol
