I just picked up a Kershaw ace (model 1710) for $7.48 at walmart, one hell of knife for the price!

I picked one up Thursday but I paid over $9 (dang!) It still is a great knife for the money. The flat grind is nice and it came sharp. It would be a great travel nice since it's blade is under 2.5" and it's a one hander. It would be great for international travel in countries that aren't knife friendly.

I don't know but I guess it is AUS-6 like Kershaw's other Chinese knives.

Picked one up today, although it was $9 bucks. Hard to believe it's made in China. Fit/finish is exceptional for an under $10 knife!
