ok this is a dumb question....does anyone know if the super gold powdered steel in the fallkniven u2 the same as the sg-2 kershaw uses?.....is it similar....does anyone know....not saying one is better than the other....just curious.....ryan
 
I'm not really sure, Sudsy. SG2 is a japanese steel, so I would venture a guess they're the same. But with KAI in the picture, I could be all wrong!
 
i kinda figured if they weren't the same that they were at least very close to each other....hopefully someone can shed some more light on it....thanks....ryan
 
Its been discussed here and there, but I've never seen a definitive answer. I think SGPS is most likely the first version of super gold powdered steel (SG1?) You would think that they would be sure to mention SG2 if it were.

maybe it's one of those japanese mysteries that will go unsolved......i was thinking of getting a fallkniven to try it out but who knows.....ryan
 
I know where there's a batch of SG2 Blurs, if you're interested...and no, they're not my stock! Mine aren't for sale!
 
thanks spx....i actually had a blur with sg2 and sold it.....i shouldn't have but i love the lahar i got so much more.....ryan
