Hey there! I want to buy a Kershaw leek black washed, and was wondering if anyone has good pictures of it because it's advertised as a dark color, but then in videos and stuff, it looks more stone washed. If anyone has had any experience with this new set of finishing for Kershaw knives, i'd appreciate it if you could provide me with some insight. Thanks:D

Not the leek in particular, but had the blackwash finish on a 0350. It's actually quite nice and seems to hold up well.

See, now that's what i want on a leek, but it seems that it just looks like my stonewashed blur...i'll probably still buy it tonight XD

I tried to buy a blacky Blur, it looked nice and had some special steel
But gp no longer sends locking knives out of the USA it seems

It looks particularly good on the Leek, not like stonewash at all. They carry them at Academy now if you wanted to look at one.

Here are a few pics of a Cryo fresh out the box ;)

I have the BW Thermite, it think it looks great. The BW gives it an aged, well used kind of look, even if it's not. Also, it won't show marks as easily as a regular black coating like DLC or Teflon since they (marks) will blend into the inconsistent finish instead of standing out.

Blackwash is a great look, and Kershaw has really taken it to heart. There will be a definite difference between the BW and stonewashed blades in real life.

Just bought a 0562bw today and these pictures are spot on. What you see here in these pics is what you get. Hope you like it. I sure do

I had grave disappointment yesterday when an order of 2 Kershaw Black Wash Knives, starter & lifter, arrived to me. I have never seen such a bad sharpening job on two knives that were new in the box. Neither one of the knives had a decent edge on it, which surprised me since I own quite a few Kershaw knives. I really think they had a monkey do the sharpening job of these two.

I wouldn't expect much more of $20 knives in a really cheap steel

I wouldn't compare the cryo, it's not made in the USA, who knows what kind of finish they used

They use the same finish the US ones do. If you don't want to buy non American knives fine, but don't act like they're doing something different when they most certainly aren't. Blackwash Cryo? EXACTLY THE SAME FREAKIN FINISH as the Blackwash Leek or Blur. Claiming otherwise is a lie, plain and simple.

Wasn't comparing anything, vinnie. As you can see the OP already proudly showed his purchase 3 posts above my comment. I was merely trying to show more examples of the Blackwash finish, so that anyone browsing this thread can check 'em out.

I can tell by the way you wrote your comment that you're not too keen on trying any overseas Kershaws. More for me haha.

Just don't get your feathers ruffled when I show some of mine.
