Kershaw Blur: How much money would you spend?

I've decided to pick up a Kershaw blur for the role of lower end folder. However, it seems like the prices have risen significantly since it first came out. BHQ has it for 71 dollars shipped, and I dont know if I'm getting $71 worth of knife. I could turn to amazon (roughly $59 shipped) but I'd much rather buy from a knife website. Is the Blur worth 71 bucks? If not, what would you recommend instead?
Many thanks, have a good one.

The blur with S30V is around that price. The blurs with 14C28N and 13C26 go for the 60.00 range depending on the blur. I paid almost 80.00 for my S30V blur two years ago
I think they're worth it. They have an excellent warranty service and are quality knives for the price. The assisted opener is strong on the blur. You better be holding it when you deploy the blade. I've only got the one blur and that's all I can say about the blur

Amazon is mostly a hookup. Is the resaler actually Amazon? The last 3 things I bought from Amazon were small businesses even one in China.
I'd go with Amazon.

I would definitely go with kershawguy, even if someone has a lower price I would still buy from him or at least shoot him an email and ask if he match them.

Amazon was also doing a deal where if you spent more then $50 on kershaw product you got $10 off, can check if they still have that. I got my s30v blur a year ago for about $52. I think its a great knife sometimes I wish it had a safety on it but I have never had it come open on me. The assisted opening is fast and firm. Shot of mine before it went on the edgepro

Kershawguy.com pick up a blem for 35$!!!!! 90% you wont even be able to find thing wrong with it and its going to be user anyhow right.

I've been big on using dealers here lately, but the zon is where I got my two blurs (s30v) from so I can't complain. Got one on a lightning deal for under 60 hehe

I payed some 70 dollars for my S30V Blur and feel it was worth it.

If you're looking for the lowest possible price, then a blem from Kershawguy is definitely the way to go, as some folks have already pointed out.

KershawGuy is the man. I've not ordered from him personally, but have friends who have multiple times and they swear by both the products and his customer service.

I paid $110 for my Blur Glassbreaker off a tool truck. I think I paid a bit too much for it over what other blurs go for just for the extra carbide tip in the handle. Only thing I dont like about it is getting it to open with just my thumb. It sticks quite well and almost hurts the thumb to get it to unlock

Check out Kershawguy's selection of Blurs. He's got a non-blem red Blur for $43 right now.

the Blur has a weak lock, I've heard quite a few incidents of the lock failing.

I've owned and used the Blur for the last 5-6 years, always had one available in one form or another. The 2 most used ones i have are CPM154 and the S30V, neither of them has a weak lock. Granted, I don't go around spine whacking my folders, but during heavy cutting, there is no issue at all. So you can count this as 2 incidents where people say the lock is just fine.
