A few weeks ago I posted a question about my new Kershaw Blur K1670BLK. It came with scales of two different shades of dk. gray/black and different textures. Obviously, the two scales had undergone different anodizing treatments. Several of you replied saying that such is not normal, so I contacted The Blade Shop to request an exchange. They happily and quickly exchanged the knife for another one that looks fine.
I'm mentioning The Blade Shop by name because I ran across several negative posts about them when I started researching their reputation before placing an order. Convinced that they had remedied their deficiencies, I placed an order for a Kershaw Blur K1670BLK and a Benchmade Griptilian 551, and both knives arrived three days later. In addition, they were happy to exchange the Blur even though I let them know the issue was purely cosmetic and rather minor at that. This is the only order I've placed with The Blade Shop, but so far my impression is very positive.
