Alright guys, earlier I posted a message about the Boker Epicenter and ended up getting it. I have a $50 credit left at an online retailer and need to pick up one more knife.
I'm deciding between the Kershaw Blur & Leek.

Not worried about weight and size. Just looking for the opinions of those who own one or both.

I respect the opinions of you guys here so I'm hoping to get some input.
I'm new to the knife community and am trying to build up a solid group of knives for EDC.

I have seriously been bitten by the bug. The last few months have not been kind to my bank account. Lol.

Much thanks guys!

I would choose the Blur hands down, and size is important.

I was interested in the Leek years ago and I bought this one with polished G10 and S30V. I liked it but it was really too small for me. I bought the S30V Blur this year and I think it is a great size.

I didn't know the blur came in S30V? That's sweet!

Yeah I know the size matters, I should of clarified that I wasn't specifically looking for a big or small EDC knife.
Just looking for the one most prefer.

I'm liking the OD Green Blur and the Stainless colored leek.

Both are terrific knives. The Blur is considerably larger. It's a very comfortable knife to handle, and the feel of the assisted-open on it is as good as I've experienced on a knife. The Leek practically disappears in the pocket. It's a slimmer knife, but it is certainly not as delicate as it might appear. It may not survive abuse as well as the Blur, but for most EDC cutting tasks, it performs great.

Some side-by-sides...

Welcome and one vote for the blur for me as well. It just fits the hand so well
and it doesn't hurt that it's an able slicer.

The blur... leeks taste funny =\

How do blurs taste?

It depends on what you want out of it. They are both very good knives, and excellent value for money, and snap open with alacrity. But they are very different knives - I don't consider them competition for one another; they excel at different things.
I love a good wharncliffe, and the Leek is perfect for popping out of the pocket, snipping or opening something, and hiding it right back.
I'm not a fan of recurves, but if I've got a bunch of cutting to do the Blur has great ergos and plenty of belly.
I liked the shiny stainless Kershaws until I got a couple. Actually, I still like them quite a bit, but the Leek and Shallot are the only knives that I've dropped. Bear in mind, I'm kind of a klutz sometimes, and I have removed the pocket clips. YMMV.

Decide how you plan to use it, and what size works for you. You can hardly go wrong with either.

A Thank you to all you guys who posted, especially with pics. Very cool!

It looks like the Blur is very very likeable. There's got to be a reason for that and it looks like I will be finding out now. Just placed my order for an OD Blur!

This sight is seriously a cool place with lots of great helpful people!
On the other side of that, I'm quickly going broke! I'll be eating cup of noodles for lunch at work by the end of the month! Lol

EDIT: Swapped my order from a OD green blur to a Purple Spider Web cpm154 blur. After coming across this purple blur, I just had to have it. It looks amazing!

Congrats on the purchase! I have and use both. It seems like I carry the blur more often than the leek. If I am dressing up or going somewhere respectable (like it ever happens much!), I will take a leek though. Enjoy the limited run blur, 1 of around 550 made!

I'm going to differ from most replies and vote for the Leek. The Blur is great but I have other folders of the same size I prefer. The Leek however, is great when I need a smaller EDC and my favorite knife of that size. You won't go wrong with either though as they are both great knives.

I would choose the Blur. I've owned a Leek and found that the blade was a might too thin to be usable for anything heavy. I like the assisted opening feature, but that's not a selling point for me anymore. The Blur would be a better "24/7" knife it I had to carry only one.

Good choice, and great idea to get the CPM154 blade. The Blur is a wonderful knife.

I just finished going through the 39pg. "show your blur" thread. I couldn't help myself! Pg 1 turned to pg 10 and then I was on pg 20 and then next thing I knew I was on pg 39! What a mistake that was, because now I'm looking for my next purchase of another blur. I'm going to need to put the credit card on ice after this! Lol

Blur, especially in CPM 154, or older discontinued models in S30V, SG2, etc. I like the size of the blur better, though there was a ZDP leek. Not sure about blur.

You can still get the s30v's I've also seen them in blems from kershawguy (Dave) recently.
