Happy Hannukah, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to all of you! Thanks for your continued support and I hope that your holiday season is a blessed one.
Not to worry, Kershaw is still turning out the Boas in both handle colors. However, the 1500 Mini Task and 1510 Random Task models are going to be discontinued at the end of the year.

I talked to Jeff (National Sales Manager and good friend) just yesterday and the Boa's are backordered into the thousands so there is no plan to discontinue it. There are many new Speed Safe models on the way and even some that will retail at $49.99! So look for those to be announced on Bladeforums soon and debute at the Shot Show.
Also the Whisper will be limited to only 1,000 pieces with a retail of $375.

Greyhound,
I like your nickname. I think Greyhounds make wonderful dogs. They seem to be very happy in a loving family and seem great with kids.
My vet's dog is a greyhound and she is always so happy to see me. I used to be stationed in Boston and would have to pick up the subway near a dog track. One sport I never understood.....
Thanks for the nice words Kodiak
" I love these dogs they maybe the worlds best indoor pet and the best kept secret
in the world. I have 2 of my own and usually a foster dod waiting to be adopted. Our group
in which I'm very active has found home for over 550 dogs in the last 3 1/2 years. If your ever interested here's my e-mail

I am just a worthless liar....... I am just an Imbecile ...... I will only complicate you ..... Trust in me and fall as well .... I will find a center in you ... I will chew it up and leave .. I will work to elevate you just enough to bring you down
Thanks for the info I already have a Black serrated and I'm going to buy a multi color
I think it's an excellent knife for the money
I'm partial to all metal knives. The Boa is almost like a daul action auto. And also one of the best looking blades on the market
greyhound i have a black serrated on order think it would be worth getting one in the multi color too ?? i haven't held one yet are they really that good i like the onion stuff and kershaw is pretty good Thanks

I did send mine back to Kershaw because the liner lock failed , When the opened locked blade hit the floor the liner failed. I promptly put it in a box and sent it back
they sent back the original knife and now it locks up tighter than a bank vault. The knife
is solidly built,no blade wobble, extra locking feature. It's just a cool knife.
I' looking foward to the new speed safe model for 2001.
Thanks
Marty
My wife has a multi-colored Boa, and she loves it. She's a leftie, so opening the knife is really easy for her. The CPM-440V steel seldom needs sharpening, and the quality is first rate. (There were a few manufacturing marks on the edge when we got it, but they were removed by the second sharpening.)
I liked my Whrlwind, but I foolishly sold it.--OKG
