I've acquired a nice Kershaw stag handled boot dagger. It doesn't appear in their current web catalog. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the years this dagger was in production and the approximate selling price? Thanks!

I can't really help you with a production date, but if it's a boot knife with pinned on stag scales, they were selling in the $100 range. I've heard from sellers that the production date was around late 80's, early 90's. I've heard the were a German contract(Maybe Puma, Wingen, or Linder).

Their based on a Puma pattern:).

It sounds like you have one of the limited edition of their Trooper model. I'll have to do a bit more digging.

Here is the knife in question. It's an integral dagger 9.25" long.

Dig it:), it's a contracted Kershaw, they during the mid 90's contracted out to a few German firms for some knives. These look to be the work of Anton Wingen, an old firm that closed in tht mid 90's(96, I believe).

If you search "Wingen" on Ebay you'll probably find a few like your's. They also did some work for A.G. Russell, I believe. his famous kitchen knives, and the Sting model:).

I've seen your knife with a stag, and a Micarta handle a few years back on Ebay, they were $75-125, depending on who had them.
