Hey there, at first when I saw the Kershaw Bump, i dismissed it because i didn't like the handle shape, but the more I look at it, the more I like it, and I'm considering ordering one. I've looked the the Bump, Speed Bump, and Spec Bump. For all 3 knives, I've seen the blade steels listed as Sandvik, S30V, 154CM, and 440a from different sites, for all 3 versions of the knife! Which version has what blade steel? Any Bump owners opinions on the knife overall? Thanks for the help.

A wonderful knife, my preference is the Blue/Green Bump.

Blue/Green (Ti) Bumps: S30V
First generation Spec Bumps: CPM154
Second gen starburst handle Spec Bumps (current): S30V
Spec/Speed Bump: Sandvik 13C26
Speed Bump: Sandvik 13C26

New SpecBumps (all black) - S30v
Older ones- 154 cm
Ti Bumps - S30v
Speed Bumps and "Pseudo" bumps (handle from SpecBump, beadblated blade) - Sandvick

From What I know:

Bumps (titanium framelocks different colors)- CPM S30V
SpecBump - first release (parallel lines pattern on the handle) - CPM154
SpecBump - second release (radial lines pattern on the handle) - CPM S30V
SpecSpeed Bump (G10 handle, blade no coated) - Sandvic 13C26
SpeedBump (plastic handle) - Sandvic 13C27.
TomasW SpecBump (one of a kind)- ZDP189

Thanks, Vassili.

Ha! I know more bumps then you are! :)

Well there are some current Bumps with black aluminum scales and 13C26 steel that are on the market now as well (limed exclusive run, about 800 pieces or so)

Vassili, you forgot to mention the micarta scales on my ZDP version.;)
