Kershaw Camp Axe

The "Outdoor Life Camp Axe" is the exact same item, it just has an "Outdoor Life" emblem instead of "Kershaw". They are a whole lot cheaper since they don't bear the Kershaw name. I think I paid $16 or $17 for mine and it came with a SK-5 folding saw. I think the axe alone can be found for around $12.

I like it just fine for what it is. A small, light chopper. It has a very thin profile that arcs back to a wide wedge, which would make it suitable for chopping or splitting within it's size limits. The handle texture, while grippy, is a bit aggressive. It comes with a very nice plastic blade cover/belt sheath.

I'll try to get some pics of the profile shortly and post them.

I have the exact same hatchet.Except where it says Kershaw,it says Stanley. It must be a popular design.Only cost me about $15.It works well enough.

I have the same Kershaw Camp Axe and it chops pretty well. The only complaint I have
is that the handle is a bit thin. I guess I have pretty big mitts.

There are similar brands that have the same overall shape, but are made by a different factory apparently. MTech and either Winchester or Remington branded ones are some unknown stainless. These are usually painted black though. The Kershaw/Outdoor Life ones are 1055 I believe.

Next to a 14" Fiskars for comparison.
