Kershaw chill

I think its just something you're going to have to decide for yourself. I wouldn't buy it for that, but I'm not Canadian. I can get it for half that.

Is it worth it for 44 dollars? If it is worth it at that price i may get one.
If you like the steel on the cqc 6 that you got and want something smaller and lighter, I say go for it.
I liked the one I had but if I were to do it over I would just spend the extra for a ZT 0450 with the carbon fiber scale.

Technically, the OP is asking for a yes / no answer not a monetary value.

There is a big difference between someone posting on the forum asking the group to help identify some kind of knife and tell them what it is worth, which is essentially acting as an appraiser, and discussing if a knife is worth buying at the retail price. Or in this case 2 times the retail price, Canada or the USA. There the discussion is more about value of knife compared to the retail price rather than setting a price since the price is already being determined on the open markets. Or would be if the OP was looking to buy on the open market, which obviously isn't the case.

The forum is full of discussions about which knives are better value, great bang for the buck, or that golden oldie, "does double the cost actually get you double the value" of a knife. In this case the answer would be, no. That price should get you 2 of them. The cases seem different to me. Which really doesn't matter of course, as rule creation, interpretation, and enforcement is really up to the moderators and owner of Blade forums. They call the shots.

^I wasn't asking anything. I have an opinion. I also wasn't aware you were a Mod.

The Whole Community upholds the "standards", & the non paying members should read the rules, and follow them.
Or upgrade membership, so maybe they "care" about The Community...

He's not asking the value of his knife. He's not breaking any rules. The rule for asking the value of one's knife to sell.

He's asking for advice on something to purchase. Hopefully from a supporting vendor.

From Bladeforums rules:

WHAT IS MY KNIFE / GADGET / SPATULA / TUNING FORK WORTH ?!?!?!?!

In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site.

In other words, without a paid Gold membership, you don't get to ask about sale values. Too many people abused this question to hint they had a knife for sale, which you need that membership for.

Honestly I think it's too much. If that's usd.

I can see the argument going both ways.

I don't see any harm in someone asking if a knife they're looking to purchase is worth its asking price.

I would also understand if a Mod deleted the post for fear of would-be sellers using that same question in a trial and error method of determining the value of their knife.

The OP here isn't breaking the spirit of the rule I don't think. He is asking the same question over again though. It's already been discussed. If you're still hesitating it probably isn't worth it.

I dont sell or trade them just want insight, ill read that link pertaining to rules you linked.
