I made a thread a while ago titled "What happened to Kershaw?" that gets necro'd every week or so, and in that thread I and a few others mentioned that their Launch automatic was plagued by "lock bounce" where the spring isn't strong enough to propel the blade the entire length of the pivot, bounces off the stop pin, and fails to lock.
Then, a Mr. LeftyTwoGuns pointed out that he had this issue resolved by messaging Kershaw about the issue and having parts sent to him, so I did the same! I explained the issue and that I was well-equipped to install any parts if they were to just send them to me. A week later, I had (for free!) a new spring, button, and button spring for my Launch 6. After ten minutes of fiddling, it has fresh new internals and snaps open with authority every time.
I respect the heck out of Kershaw for not requiring me to send in the blasted thing to a dealer to ship it to them so they could ship it to the dealer to ship it back to me. That's the kind of ridiculous BS necessary to -legally- send automatic knives through the mail... And you can't even use USPS IIRC. Kershaw just straight sent me parts, I installed them, and it was done!
+1 for kershaw. This almost makes up for them sending back my 0560BW without doing anything that I had asked (centering, lockup, edge, clip) as if the knife had become homesick and I just wanted to send it on a two-week vacation for $6.10
