Kershaw Cryo 1555Ti G10 Scales or Leave As Is?

I think its funny they still put first production run on those cheap POS knives. Who cares when it was produced. Its junk!

The Cryo is a beautiful knife and I'm sure it's going to be an amazing seller for Kershaw. A part of me wishes we were going to see it produced stateside with 14C18N steel, but the other part of me knows that overseas or stateside, Kershaw will put out a great knife.

I do agree with the OP that a G-10 front scale would make an already amazing design even better. Heck, I'd even love to see it with G-10 textured FRN like the Zing has. I think either of those options would make an already amazing knife even better. I'm also very excited to hear about the possibility of a larger version that will be shown at Blade this weekend.

What I am planning to do is get some one to make an orange G10 front scale with mine, but since I already thought of the problem with the torsion bar pocket and since it will have a detent, I am going to make mine a flipper. That way, there wont be any milling in the scale so it will be monumentally easier to make. I am going to do this with the bigger cryo, I think I will pass with the smaller one.

Is it too late for one of these?

Id thing a dremmel tool with the router connection could do the milling for the torsion bar. But I havent done it so dont know. I do have intentions of making a few g10 scales and keeping them assisted.

Next time I am at a show and they have those crappy $10 knives Im gonna see if I can break it with my hands, then Ill hand it back to them and say "It sure aint no Kershaw." Ill probably end up missing a finger but thats what dr. are for.

Keep your digits intact Bob. Doon't mess with that junk. ;)
Stick with what works Kershaw/ZT.

There is a guy who has made a few carbon fiber ones with the tortion bar relief, but I am still looking for G10 .

I just gifted 2 of these knives to some coworkers. You should have seen their faces light up. :D
What was nice is that they immediately went into the pockets anda the boxes went into the trash. My brother in law is also the proud owner of one of these, he carries it most of the time.
