Kershaw cryo 1555ti giveaway

I was a cook for a long time and I cut my middle finger diagonally away from my thumb through about 70% of my fingernail. It was a busy night and I had to keep working so I super glued my finger tip back on and it healed up great aside from a nasty scar. I didn't feel the cut, I only heard the crunch and immediately exclaimed "I done did it!" as I hustled to the bathroom tracking blood all over the kitchen. The knife was a lovely wusthof with about a 8" blade.

I had a funny one when I was young, probably 8 or 9 years old. I was putting together a model in the car while my dad and sister were in a store. I cut the tip of my finger pretty good while using my first SAK. I tried to hide the fact that I cut myself because I thought that my dad would take away my knife. I must have looked pretty ridiculous, I was holding my hand and there was blood all over my pants. He knew what happened right away and thought it was way worse than it was. In the end we all laughed about it and he didn't take away the SAK, but there were no more models to be built in the car.

Still up for grabs, who wants it. Keep the stories coming. Remember, I opened it up to anyone.

Cryo 1555Ti .....
I think the RPC people did something wrong ....
8Cr13MoV blade, I have it about a month and a half, I've cut many things with it (string, cardboard, plastic, etc..) I did not stropp nor sharpen it and yet... now is shaving hair

I've got the same blade and I cut my self with it by trying to pop the little containers open that you buy in the gumball machine and I was sitting in a movie theater waiting for a movie to start and I sliced my finger wide open, when I realized that I keep spare band aids in my wallet, but yes it is an excellent knife I've carried it off and on for 6 months and it keeps finding its way back in my pocket

Okay, here's my entry!!

I was out camping with my dad a few years back when I knew nothing about knives. I had a cheap $15 Gerber frame lock with me, super sharp, and I was just messing around with it. As a kid, I was unaware of the danger. I had the knife open, with the tip pointing straight up and, as I looked away and brought my hand down, cut a huge gash right down my middle finger. Panicking, and without bandaids, (bad move on my part for not bringing enough) I grabbed a huge maple leaf outside of the tent and wrapped it around my finger. Since it wasn't absorbent, blood began dripping down the leaf and on to the ground. Some got on my shirt and shoes. I showed my dad, so we hopped into the truck and drove a few minutes down the road to a store. There was only one of those huge bandaid pads, so we grabbed it and put it on my finger. Thankfully, I didn't need stitches, so I ended up being all good in the end. I still have the scar though.

I'm in. Worst time i ever cut myself is when i was fishing as i kid and took a descent chunk off flesh off my pointer finger can't remember the the knife i was using almost thinking it was a lockback Buck.

Everybody thanks for the great stories. I will be going through them now and selecting a winner within a few days. This was fun

I was at my uncles house and he had just gone to some knife show in las vegas and he brought back 3 crapy switch blade. he gave one to me and told me not to open it in the car so did my dad so on the way home i opened it and of couse in the dark car i had it bacwards and i sliced my plam open but i couldnt tell my dad so took off my sock and wrapped it around my hand.

Cool idea!
A few years ago before me and my wife were married I talked her into going salmon fishing with me. I was straightening out some tackle and wanted to show off to my then girlfriend how sharp my knife was and in trying to cut the plastic tab off of the tackle box with a flourish using my leatherman and I proceeded to slice off the top of the skin from my index finger knuckle. Thankfully she was in school and was able to show off by using super glue to close my finger back up. Twelve years and three sons later the rest is history.
g dub congrats you are the winner. Please send me an email with your addy and I will get her off to you ASAP. Great the story and enjoy the knife. My email is debshomey@gmail.com

Very generous, congrats g dub. If the knife isn't for you (size wise), your wife will be glad to steal it from you. My lady sure was!

I would like to make this something I can do every once in a while. I love knives and hope to inspire others as well. Thank you for your kind words. C'mon g dub email me to collect your baby

Dang I'm too late. Oh well here's mine for giggles...and it has superglue.

I sliced my finger and put superglue on it. Only problem was that I also got some on the handle and ended up gluing the knife to my hand. So I left it there and just played with it all day. :o
