I can't help but wonder what the opinion would be if kershaw did with the cryo what spyderco did with the techno? Obviously more money but you would have better materials too.
I think it is a catch 22 in my opinion. You would have superior materials with fit and finish, but the price point is a much larger draw for customers to get all the things they do on the cryo for so little. I feel the advantages of all it offers at the price it offers, far outweighs the disadvantage of weight.
You also have to remember we the knife nuts are a smaller percentage of the customer base who purchase these things. If them bringing the cryo to the table as it is now helps them sell a ton of knives and in return lets them design newer and better knives down the road for us, I'm personally all for it!
I do want to say that I am impressed that everyone in this thread has been pretty polite in discussing all this, and it is great to see that even though we all have different opinions we can still have a good discussion on pros and cons.
