Kershaw Cryo Thoughts

Yep, I hear ya buddy, they could fill a hole and I think they know that. Who knows, maybe at SHOT next year we will all see one.

I live in the general area of Los Angeles, I know that in LA county you arent supposed to carry anything beyond 3" or so I've been told, that may be for open carry though. I was told by a Cop in the area I live in that 3.25" is the limit for a folder and even then, they are told to confiscate knives of a "dangerous length". Yeah, I know that violates certain rights but they can always make up some reason to take your stuff...Too many loopholes. This is all according to an officer i know.

There are so many obscure regulations not that I just prefer not to provoke anyone.

Love it, at least that part of the knife. I also used a ti and a black one to create a franken Cryo and try to mimic my 550 a little bit better. The scale is the best part of the knife though, so no need to worry.:D

I'm assuming he's talking about a Griptilian. I'm not sure how that relates to a discussion of knives designed by Rick Hinderer, though.

That was what I was thinking also. Hmm, not making too much sense there bucko. Either that or he was referring to custom handle scales for an xm18 and that still doesnt make a whole lotta sense.

He's referring to this.
Look at the Benchmade 551 - US made with horrible plastic scales and it's more than $80.

That makes sense. I had one of those and hated the way it felt. It was like fisher price made it. Those handles suck, I know a lot of people love the mini grips but I dont. Again, you are paying for the Benchmade name above all else. They do make some good stuff but there are a lot of other brands out there that are just as good and don't cost nearly as much. I really dont like many of their designs at all these days, they all look the same to me for some reason.

Well, it's good to see that at least a few people share my thoughts on this matter. anyone have anythign else to add?
