I picked up a blem composite blade Leek from Kershawguy that came this past Friday. Monday I went to flip it open only to hear a snap, and the blade didn't flick out. I took it apart to find a vicious crack in the torsion bar:
I shot an email to Kershaw's CS that day, Memorial Day, with the story and pictures and received a reply this morning saying a new torsion bar was being shipped out.
It's great they replied in under two days after a long holiday weekend and also that they assumed I know to turn a screw left to loosen it, i.e., that I didn't have to send the whole knife in to have the part replaced.
I foresee more Kershaws in my pocket in the future!
