Hello folks,

Just a quick word about how Kershaw amazed me.

I have two boa's, one for show, one for go. Both are really cool knives, gadget factor and all, and when the time comes they perform excellent. No complaints on either,
except one day one of the jammed.. odd.. I figured that the spring was out of it's usual place and opened it, and yup, it was out of it's usual place, then I noticed that the spring was half way broken ( like it chipped a part). Probably an overhardened spring, which would explain why this one kicked harder then the other.

Now comes the funky part. I explain to the people at kershaw what happened, and that I am well aware that I violated the warranty. But, since I am european it costs about as much to send the knife back and forth then it would be to buy a total new one.
Since it was only the spring I asked for a replacement spring - being a knifemaker I think I qualify to replace it at least over here in europe :D

Anyway, they asked my adres, which I gladly provided. I was expecting a package with one spring, insted then sent 3 springs, 3 clips and screws, one large catalog and a small one

Now THAT is customer service. I won't hesitate again to buy anything kershaw.. BTW for mini review : BOA's Rule :D

greetz and take care, Bart.

Did you contact them by e-mail? I have repeatedly tried to get a response from Kershaw (5 or 6 e-mails) asking a question about fixing a wobbly blade on a Mini Random Task I bought, and they never reply.

Thanks for a reply, I am just curious.
