I've had my Strobe since November. Fit and finish was great out of the box. A great EDC knife for the money; I was impressed and still am.

The blade was sharp as received with an even grind on both sides. I love the blade shape, lots of belly. The point of the blade is strong as ground too which is a plus. The 8Cr13Mov blade steel is wearing as usual for this steel type. Easy to maintain the factory edge with my hard Arkansas hone and a strop loaded with white compound.

The ergos are great too. My hands are on the large side and fit comfortably on the handle behind the the flipper. After an hour or more of moderate use I feel no hot spots. The nylon or FRN scales and rounded edges on the milled out stainless liners are comfortably shaped. The deep design blackened pocket clip doesn't affect the comfort of the grip, but due to the design molded into the scales it will wear out a pocket quickly.

The one problem I have with the knife is that the detent is too stiff; you can hear a very audible click as it drops into place. The bearing system is super smooth, and the liner lock locks up at a little less than 50% and as tight as my ZT0350, no movement in any direction. I have been opening it with the flipper hooking it between the first and second knuckle of my index finger at times it opens somewhat easily and other times I need to flip it with what I consider abnormal force. Sometimes that doesn't even work. I have resorted to two hand opening most of the time and I am sure that sooner or later the detent will wear some more. My ZT was like that at first but now it opens with only a finger tip as it should.

I noticed on mine that if you don't pull straight back, meaning if you put any side force on the flipper when pulling it back, it becomes much harder to open

You will look long and hard for a better value in a flipper. It's an awesome knife for the money.
