Have these already been released and sold out? These little guys look pretty cool. Or have these not Evan been released yet? Thanks in advance for any info.
 
I haven't heard much about these little dudes, or seen 'em out in the wild. Then again, we get everything late down here.

I'm not sure if they've been released yet. Best way to tell would be to hit up the usual vendor sites like kershawguy, bladehq, etc. and see if they show them in stock.
 
Too small for me but still looks like a cool little knife. Anything with Rick's name on it is gonna sell like hot cakes.
 
One retailer is "expecting" them in stock by 11/6/2014. I'll be picking one up as a secondary carry option.
 
Rasco, you have them mixed up. The top pic is a Todd Rexford designed Amplitude. The bottom is a Rick Hinderer desinged Ember.

Neither is to be confused with the Matt Diskinderer strobe.

(This last sentence is an inside joke btw)
 
The ember would be 100 times better if it were de-assisted. As big as my hands are, those little flippers almost launch out of my hand when fired open.

True! I'm a hypocrite when it comes to AO folders. I complain about them all the time, but the few that I have, I wish they fired faster lol. I got rid of my cryo, because I hated the AO when closing the blade, but my buddy had his over the weekend and he couldn't pry it out of my hands! :) I may be getting an ember, 8cr13mov is just fine in a tiny knife like that.

Haha nothing wrong with that! Sometimes it's just good to reconnect with one you let go, sort of like getting reacquainted with an old friend :p

And I agree, I've never had any issues with Kershaw's 8Cr. Good stuff for the price.
 
fyi I asked Kershaw and they said "We did ship some out in September and we should be getting more in before the end of the year."

Any clue where they went? I've only heard of them showing up in some sporting goods stores in Canada.

Only thing I've seen is that 5thpixel dude on reddit saying he found one a month ago at Academy. ( http://www.reddit.com/r/EDC/comments/2n6nkw/i_found_a_kershaw_ember/ )

I assume that's this http://www.academy.com which isn't in California and doesn't have an Ember listed on their site.

But whatever, it sounds like Kershaw's on top of it and it'll be released whenever they feel like it.
