I might be a bit late to this party, but I'm extremely excited about this upcoming line of knives. What are your thoughts? Are Kershaw and Emerson about to get a lot richer? Or will these knives fail miserably?
Also, I cant seem to find handle width or weight on these anywhere, if somebody knew where to find that info I'd really appreciate it.

I like the CQC-6k myself. It looks like the street prices are going to be 30-35 bucks depending on the model. I think thy will sell the crap out of them at that price.

Pfft, fail? No way man, it's going to be one of the best Kershaw collaborations ever to come out.

Haha, I was looking at the same model and thinking the same thing about the price point. I think these knives will definitely have what I call the "Tenacious effect": Mid-high quality knife for low price. I truly appreciate the response.

I couldn't agree more. But Im kind of an idiot sometimes hahaha, so I wanted other opinions as well. Many thanks for the input.

As long as the quality is there (think of the US Kershaws of years past) these will be amazing. Got a CQC-6K on preorder that I hope I'll be seeing before 2015.

I'm happy for these knives. Emerson styling at Chinese pricing, along with ambidextrous design and drilling? As a lefty, I can only say about f***ing time. I'm getting fed up with seeing a cool new knife come out and then only being mad because the company couldn't take the miniscule time to drill 2-6 holes to make the knife as good for a lefty as it is for a boring righty. Or the knife is made with lefty clip drilling, but is made like the Techno and is barely usable for a lefty.

I cheer a little bit every time I see a new knife design that is made to be equally comfortable and usable for either hand. It is not that hard to do, makes the knife look better (no huge unsightly cutouts for the lock), and doesn't isolate part of the market immediately.

Look like good beaters. The steel is 8Cr13MoV, nothing super but it should do. Might pick one up for fun.

I'm quite excited about these as well as the ZT ones.

What do you base that price estimate on? I haven't seen anything official but would guess $75 and up. Remember Emerson is going to have to get a cut of the action.

Uhhh.... the MSRP on those knives isn't even that high bud

BladeHQ is selling them @ $35.99

So does anyone have any idea when these will come out? Emerson design with Kershaw quality, you can't beat that! Not even the real Emerson knives can't!

Gotta try the CQC-1k for that Gentleman Jim feel. And I'm torn between the CQC-6k and 7k. I think the tanto blade looks good on this design, but I can't deny the sheer utility of a drop point. Can't beat these knives for 40 bucks!

Dude, your turn! I preordered 'em both. A decent Kershaw knife and a bottle-opener? Alright then! At that price, if I don't like 'em, I can just pass them to a bud and move on.

Sorry, I misspoke, I got the 7k and 8k.
