I was at the Eugene, Oregon OKCA show this weekend and saw a guy there selling mostly Kershaw factory 2nds. Does anyone happen to know who that dealer was and how I can get a hold of him? Thanks in advance.

ban, send a PM or email to kershawguy, aka Dave. I'll bet lunch he knows who it was...and when you find out, will you let me know?

Hmmm if Dave has been to the Expo Center Gun show.... I might've bought my first kershaw from him.

Mind you it wasn't a second--I picked through so many of them that I found non-x'd one :)

Yes I do know him very well and have done a ton of business with him, But as most of you know I have developed over the years somewhat of a fondness to Kershaw knives and Kershaw as a company. I have purposely chosen to mostly avoid selling any factory seconds on BF's. I don't think it would be a good thing for anyone involved. The person Ban is asking about only sells at gun shows and an occasional knife show, and he doesn't for the most part ship any product. I have always felt that Bladeforums was not the proper arena for factory seconds, so I have decided to not give out this info. I would not want to be responsible for doing any potential damage to Kershaw or Bladeforums by being the one to flood this place with seconds and blems. Ban , sorry I didn't get a chance to talk with you at the show, I had a table and a display ( Kershaw of course).

No Problem Dave! I respect your decision. It was just that I got a good deal on my first scallion and wanted to pick up a few more to give as gifts. I don't think it was a 2nd because there were no markings and everything was flawless.

Dave, any pictures from the show??? As a NYer I love to see what the bigger shows look like !!!! Not many around here.....

I will post some photos and some other info from show very soon ( within a day or two) need to come down to earth first , going back to work ought to take care of that. I had a very exciting weekend !! More info soon.

Dave,

Sorry to hijack the thread here, but we were at the show and would've talked if we'da seen ya...my wife collects Leeks, and in the Kershaw display there was a high-gloss silver colored one that I hadn't seen before.

If you can hook me up with one of those, and maybe one of the gold colored ones too, I'd be happy to pay you...I think the knife (or knives) would make a great present for her birthday.

TIA, Shel

p.s. If you have, or ever have interest in Randall Made knives, feel free to ask away...those I know a little about :)

The knife you are referring to is Model # 1660SS and was never released (to my knowledge) Retail. I don't have access to any. It was only available at the warehouse sale. Beautiful knife , maybe it should be released ? The 1600SS ( chive) is the same finish.

It's interesting, if you Google Kershaw 1660SS, a few do turn up for sale here and there.

There have been a few seconds that have shown up on the exchange already. I bought an Offset second about a year ago for a friend's b-day gift. It was nice to get him something on the high end for a little over $100, but the marking was blurred. I would be all over some seconds that were done "privately" in this forum, ie: I picked up some seconds this weekend, PM/email me if your interested. I am sure all here have a vested interest in the consistent quality of Kershaws products, and we all realize a mis-mark in not a valid representation of Kershaw's outstanding quality. Everyone loves a deal though.........

Thanks guys! Dave, now that I have a model number, I can go searchin'.

Huh, that's odd,
I want to have one of those gold ones.... those looks bling
Thomas, you're a Mod now!?!? Guys, coach gots more power.... uh oh

:D

Thomas, it's great having you back as a moderator for us! Now you can punish ol for all of his horrible deeds! :D

Hey Thomas!

We met once or twice I believe - my wife and used to set up the big Randall display and sometimes a few sales tables...I think we were set up next to you at least once. As KnG said about the all gold Leek 'those looks bling'(sic); is that model available too? She has around a dozen lil' Leek buggers...but it sounds like she may need a few more ;)
