Kershaw Factory Seconds

A brief foray back to the original topic - I don't think you'd want to buy a factory 2nd over the net, unless you were planning on modifying it so that minor faults wouldn't matter to you. I spent WAAAY too much time at that table, picking through boxes of knives, and there was a noticeable range in quality. Not that there were any real stinkers, but some seemed absolutely perfect while others did have varying perceptible faults.

Factory seconds, as I understand, are knives that have some appearance blemishes. They will have XXXX marked on the blade. I have a few of them, thanks to my friends here. They are 100% sound mechanically, and are covered by Kershaw's lifetime warranty for mechanical issues.

I've never found a flaw in any of them...honestly...and I've gone over them with a magnifying glass.

I managed to grab more than a dozen factory seconds at ridiculously low prices last December, and I'm going again next year. Two had very minor visible blemishes, and on every single one the largest single blemish was the XXXX marked on the blade. well worth the drive from BC.
If you can find some, and it's a knife you were after, get it.
