Kershaw Forum re-opened

what happen back then? why its closed?

Im newbie and my first knife is zdp blur and its really fantastic knife. Just asked for parts from Kershaw CS, and they really have great service!!! :)

Excellent news ! Happy you folks have returned - great tools from a company with better than great customer service. Will be nice to get accurate info about new temptations and old favourites.

I don't think either BladeForums or Kershaw went public over the specific reasons, but I'm assuming $$$ was a root cause - i.e. the money Kershaw pays BladeForums for this forum.

Really? What money are you referring to?

EDIT: I should have been clearer. Manufacturers do not pay to have a forum here. All they need to do is ask...participate and designate a moderator.

Well, my guess is some money trades hands between those entities with brand dedicated forums here, and BladeForums. I mean, Kershaw knife discussion certainly didn't go away here on Bladeforums. So why else would the brand dedicated forum go away unless there was some sort of breakdown in negotiations between Kershaw and Bladeforums over the price paid for the Kershaw brand dedicated forum?

I suppose I could be wrong - but since neither side gave any reasons at the time, I'm not holding my breath that either side will confirm or deny my theory.
 
It wasn't about monies.

Remember RJ, I'm the bad company rep. It prolly had to do with that.

There was some sort of rift....I doubt the details will ever be shared as both sides have mutual respect for each other and chose to keep it private. It's water under the bridge at this point anyway. I did edit my first post because it was a bit leading but manufacturers do not pay to be here.
